The challenge - Expand and upgrade this old bathroom. The bathroom was too small. The floor tile was cracked and worn. This is a 100 year old house with many good qualities to preserve. |

The major demolition went very quickly. Phil Bissett took special care with the old timbers in the floor joists, verifying that the wood was sound and making repairs as needed. The antique trim was preserved and reused. Insulation was added to the exterior walls and the interior walls were sound proofed. |

Level, plumb, and square. Measure twice, cut once. The key to a perfect installation is to prepare the site, make certain that everything will line up. |

With the new subfloor in place, Phil Bissett personally supervises the critical installation of the bathtub. The homeowner specified a circulating "Jacuzzi" style tub. This requires expert care to ensure that it meets code, is safe, and works correctly. (Water and electricity do not mix) |
